This Christmas will mark three years since Run The Jewels dropped Run The Jewels 3. With only one year passing between RTJ1 and RTJ2 and two years between RTJ2 and RTJ3, fans’ patience may be thinning out a bit, but in a recent Q&A with a fan, El-P relieved their worries.

When asked for a RTJ4 update, El-P came through revealing that quite the progress has been made on the album, with mixing, mastering and sample clearances left on the to-do list across the upcoming album which sports “11 jams, it’s under 40 minutes.”

And if that wasn’t enough, we also got a release date of sorts as he also revealed the album should arrive “earlyish next year realistically.” Even better news? “It’s hard as f**k.”

Check out some of the Twitter exchanges below as we get ready for RTJ4.
