Full disclosure: since I’ve curbed most of my NFL watching, Sundays are sometimes the best days to get my attention for music. Hence, how I stumbled upon Mariah The Scientist.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mariah — according to her press release — got her name from being a Biology major at St. John’s University, before dropping out to focus on a music career. Following her 2018 debut project To Die For, she released Master earlier this year. “I’ve let emotions and relationships master who I was,” states Mariah. “The idea of love and who I was with – they’ve become my master of some sort, directly or indirectly, when I should’ve just been myself. Now that I can acknowledge that, I can be my own master.”
She released a video for the project’s focus track, “Beetlejuice,” which can be checked out — as well as the album — below.
