While those Griselda boys have been reimagining New York’s vintage, boom bap sound, down in Brooklyn artists have begun doing music that is distinctively the opposite of that.
Like Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign has been making waves with his style of music, which takes inspiration from the UK and Chicago’s drill sound (appropriately referred to as “Brooklyn drill”), notching a buzzing single in “Big Drip.”
Foreign has since released his latest project, Pain And Love, and has dropped a video for his single “Freak” with King Combs. Watch below.
