Taking 2019 off to himself, Mick Jenkins isn’t wasting any time getting back in action this year with the release of his new project, The Circus.
“The Circus EP is a body of work about just that,” the Chicago rapper says. “These days it’s very hard to look at the state of the world and popular culture and not see allegory that makes this metaphor our reality more often than not.”
Led by the Black Milk-produced “Carefree,” Jenkins follows up 2018’s Pieces of a Man and dope feature on Kaytranada’s Bubba album with seven new songs with help from EarthGang, Hit-Boy, IAMNOBODI, Bizness Boi, DJ FU, Beat Butcha, and more.
