After overtaking mainstream radio in the early 2010s with tracks like “I Need a Dollar” and “The Man,” Aloe Blacc faded away for much of the remaining decade. Looking to make a full comeback into the music world, Blacc returns with new tunes.
Back with “I Do,” Blacc’s latest release comes after partnering with BMG for a new deal. The single also comes ahead of his upcoming fourth album which is set to release later this year.
Blacc’s longtime wife and Australian singer, Maya Jupiter, serves as the inspiration behind the track as he opens up about the more private aspects of his life for the first time. “Luck brought us together, despite living halfway across the world with a vast ocean between us. ‘I Do’ is the perfect representation of the profound love we share.”
