After a string of memorable records (all of which landed on our Weekly Dope playlist), the duo of Yoni “xSDTRK” Ayal and Pierre-Luc Rioux – together as Chiiild – have released their debut project, Synthetic Soul.
Equipped with seven songs, including “Hands Off Me,” the LA-via-Montreal producers provide a warm and conscious R&B vibe that’s consistently at odds with its digital origins but still manages to extract the soul of the likes of D’Angelo, Pink Floyd, and the Cure into something truly unique.
