For the last decade, Clear Soul Forces have been holding it down for Detroit hip hop with a lengthy catalog of albums (both as a group and as solo artists)–unfortunately, many of which have been overlooked.
Adding a bookend to the CSF story, the quartet of Noveliss, Emile V, Ilajide, and L.A.Z. have now released their fifth and final album, ForcesWithYou.
“I definitely feel like we played our role as leaders within hip-hop, representing a city like Detroit and not falling into the same pattern of making music that we saw so many people succumb to,” says Emile V.
Locked in at 10 tracks–including Weekly Dope selections “Gimme the Mic” and “SS2,” the album is majorly produced by Ilajide with bars for days.
