Knxwledge Shares First Album In Five Years, ‘1988’

blame it on Meka March 27, 2020

It’s been roughly five years since the last album from producer Knxwledge, 2015’s Hud Dreems. He’s kept busy, however, releasing a steady stream of mixtapes… oh and then there were these projects with this guy named Anderson .Paak, as NxWorries. You may have come across those.

Either way, Knxw is back with his new project, 1988. A 22-song effort, the album is led by the singles, “don’t be afraid,” “[bc] tm’s not promised,” “learn” and “howtokope.” There’s a feature from Durand Bernarr (who just joined Ari Lennox on her Shea Butter Baby Remix EP), and yes, NxWorries reunites on the album, via track number 17, “Itkanbe[Sonice].”
