Ric Wilson & Terrace Martin Tap BJ the Chicago Kid for “Chicago Bae”

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Ric Wilson, but the talented Chicago artist is back in action with a joint project with Terrace Martin called They Call Me Disco dropping May 8th.

“The disco-inspired funk never stops,” says Wilson. “Me and Terrace wanted to make something people can move to and free themselves. When I toured with Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, the band started calling me ‘disco’ on the bus, so that’s where the name came from. If you’ve ever met me, you know two stepping is my favorite thing to do.”

“This record is a beautiful reminder the disco never stops,” adds Martin. “Keep smiling, keep dancing, and keep loving.”

To help kick off the campaign, the CHI-to-LA duo have enlisted BJ the Chicago Kid to croon all over the first single, “Chicago Bae.”

Co-produced by Ted Chung and J-Trx, the song can be heard below.

  1. Breakin Rules f. Corbin Dallas
