Although he’s been at the DopeHouse since 2014, Blakk Soul has now released his anticipated Mello Music Group debut, Take Your Time.
The Tacoma, Washington-based multi-hyphenate creative has been featured before through his work with Rapper Big Pooh (his manager), but he’s already got plenty of credits for writing, background vocals and co-producing work alongside Dr. Dre, Anderson .Paak, Jake One, and more.
A 12-song release, Take Your Time is led by the singles “Help” and “Smoke N Chill.” Meanwhile, vocal contributions come from Joell Ortiz, Cocoa Sarai, Amaal, and Nana, over production from Symbolyc One, J. LBS, Wyldfyer, Aayhasis, Kuddie Fresh, Gerson Zaragoza, Qbeats, DrewsThatDude, Yusei, and Vohn Beatz.
