In 2018, legendary musician Buju Banton was freed from prison — and subsequently deported back to Jamaica — after spending roughly a decade on trial for and incarcerated on drug charges. The artist is now gearing up to release his first album in a decade, Upside Down.

He has now released the first single from the album, “Memories” with John Legend. “Things change, people change, time changes but good friendship and memories will never change. This is another special one with my good friend John. We hope the masses love it,” says Buju Banton.

John added, “I was so excited to collaborate with Buju on another song. He’s an icon, and this song is another classic.”
