Meet MXXWLL, a Sydney, Australian-bred producer who’s making his DopeHouse debut with the release of his new album SHEEESH.

Well, technically this is MXXWLL’s second appearance, since he produced Ty Dolla $ign and J. Cole’s “Purple Emoji” collaboration, but as far as his personal work? It’s his formal introduction. And wow, what a way to do it. This album is straight jammin!

Although he hails from Australia, MXXWLL has been living in Los Angeles and the influence of the city is heavy. From the opening track “AA72” (which is named after the flight number of the plane he took from SYD to LAX), the G-Funk inspiration is clear as the gifted producer proceeds to take us on a journey of vintage synths, various vocal flips, and ’90s R&B nostalgia.

Locked in at 17 tracks, which is broken down track-by-track at Tonedeaf, the album comes equipped with contributions from SiR, Aloe Blacc, Guapdad 4000, John Givez, Kaiit, Jackson Powell, JD Beck, and more.
