A little while back, ago Lessondary/Tanya Morgan member Donwill and I launched SZN SLT: a monthly even series as both a means for us to play the exact music we’d wanted to, and a safe space for other deejays who desired for the same. Because let’s be real: getting threatened because you didn’t play the latest top-40 smash in an overcrowded club just isn’t the wave.
(If you’re a deejay, you’ve likely experienced variations of this more times than you’d like to remember.)
As we’re approaching our second anniversary, naturally, we aren’t able to celebrate in person (NYC isn’t even set to begin Phase 1 of reopening for minimum a week, if not longer). So we’re moving the festivities over to the DopeHouse’s Twitch account.

From 3pm-6pm EST, we’ll be providing tunes to hopefully provide your day with a bit of sunshine during these harsh times. Lord knows, we all could use more. Also, in lieu of tips, we humbly suggest that that those interested donate to the Brooklyn Bail Fund in support of the protestors arrested for using their voices to stand up against police brutality.
