Throughout this pandemic, Talib Kweli has kept busy with his podcast and his IG Live deejaying sets. However, he took the time to speak to Jimmy Fallon last night (June 3rd) as a special guest.
The pair delved into a variety of topics, including Kweli’s earliest experiences with racism, participating in activism with his children and more, as well as the ramifications of the riots and protests. “I get that people are traumatized by it and don’t want to see the images,” Talib says. “But the flip side is, without us seeing those seven minutes of that cop kneeling on George Floyd, he would not have been arrested. Us seeing it moves the dial forward.”
