Bike Ride for Equality [LV]

blame it on Shake June 8, 2020

If you follow me on social media, one thing you’ll notice is that I love riding bikes (well before the pandemic struck). It’s always been a chance for me to escape and really think without distractions. This past week and change, every ride has been heavy as I think about the fear and pain people of color have been reeling from while living in this country. It’s bullshit! Racism has absolutely zero place in my heart, but far too many others can’t say the same.⁣

While I don’t have an outright solution, I’m trying my best to help – from educating myself, sharing information and images from protests, donating to various foundations, voting locally, having real conversations with others, and just making sure my friends and loved ones (including Meka, who I’ve considered my brother for over 12 years) who are dealing with this know that I stand with them and that my support will never waver.⁣

In another effort to seek change, I’ve partnered up with a few of my friends to host a “Bike Ride for Equality” this Sunday (June 14) in Las Vegas where people of all races can join in solidarity as we ride down the Las Vegas Strip and peacefully protest against police brutality and systematic racism.

All details are included in the flyer above, but if you’re in the area and have questions, please feel free to leave a comment of hit me on IG/Twitter.
