Nappy Roots – “Blind Faith”

blame it on Shake June 15, 2020

It’s been three years since Nappy Roots dropped Another 40 Akerz, but the Southern rap quartet is back with 4ORTY dropping September 18th.

To help kick off the campaign, Skinny DeVille, Fish Scales, Buffalo Stille, and Ron Clutch have released the project’s first single, “Blind Faith,” which reverberates the meaning and significance of the Black Lives Matter movement and protests which are happening around the world.

“During these trying times of uncertainty our humanity and faith are being put to the test. ‘Blind Faith’ is a song in direct reflection of our willingness to overcome these obstacles,” Nappy Roots told hhdx. “According to most, ‘Blind Faith’ means having complete confidence in someone, or something without any reason to do so. This is where the problem begins. While there are many solutions to a problem, we make an honest attempt and plea to listen to our inner selves to help find these answers. The world we live in is ever-changing and we must try our best to positively contribute to the human race.”

Featuring Lando Ameen, the 808 Blake-laced track can be heard below.
