The second season of NBC’s songwriting competition series Songland began a few weeks ago, and last night’s (June 15) episode featured Usher as a celebrity judge. After running the songwriting gamut, if you will, contestant Ryan — with help from producer and host Ester Dean —would emerge victorious, with Ush choosing his song “Staying Over” to record.
Following some edits, and a Tyga appearance, the track was rechristened “California.” That track can be heard below.
