The latest track from THURZ, “Black Star,” is, well, too good to just profile on a Thursday.
“With my new record, I want to uplift all the children, women and homies during this time,” he said about the Emeni-produced track. “We’re all a ‘Black Star.'”
The track would precede THURZ’ performance at Southern California’s 11th annual Leimert Park Rising Juneteenth Heritage Rally for Black Independence and Festival, where he would reunite with his once-partner-in-rhyme Y-O (née, Yonas Michael) for a performance of their vintage track “Beautiful Day.” Check it all out below.
