Meet Vince Ash, a rapper from Hammond, Indiana who’s making his DopeHouse debut with the release of his new project, VITO.

Back in 2018, Vince turned a few heads with his Do Or Die project; which introduced his gritty, Midwest-influenced sound to the masses. And now, after two years of growth and time spent honing his skills, Ash is back.

For his sophomore release, Ash drew inspiration from the likes of Eazy-E, BG and Three 6 Mafia; the latter clearly for the project’s title track, which our guy Weiss described as “the hardest sh*t since MC Ren.”

“I’m thinking about listeners 100 years from now,” Vince told DJ Booth. “Obviously, I’m not making that music yet, but that’s the headspace I’m in. I wanna give enough knowledge and enough of myself for it to transcend what’s going on now for [future listeners] to learn about myself and my time but still have it relate to the present. I still find myself listening to Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, and Curtis Mayfield; shit my grandparents were listening to, I can still connect with like it dropped yesterday. Continuing to do that will help me reach that goal.”
