In 2018, legendary musician Buju Banton was freed from prison — and subsequently deported back to Jamaica — after spending roughly a decade on trial for and incarcerated on drug charges. The artist has released his first album in a decade, Upside Down.
Twenty tracks deep, the album sees guest appearances from John Legend, Pharrell Williams (both he and Chad Hugo, née The Neptunes, contribute to the album also), Stefflon Don, and Stephen Marley. Led by the single “Memories” (but don’t sleep on “Cherry Pie” also), the album can be heard below.
