One of the year’s best projects has arrived.

After years of friendship, shows, dinners, conversations, laughs and life experience, the quartet of Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, 9th Wonder, and Kamasi Washington have joined forces as the Dinner Party.

With multiple nominations and awards from the Grammys, Emmys, and American Music Prize amongst them, the four musicians have contributed to some of the most important albums and art of the past three decades. And now, they’ve come together to share their blend of jazz, hip-hop, R&B, funk, and soul with the release of their self-titled project, Dinner Party.

Nearly two years in the making, Martin rented out Chalice studios in Los Angels at the end of 2019 and the four musicians tirelessly worked on the project any change they got with Martin and Washington handling the sax, Glasper on the keys, and 9th Wonder lacing the production. They also invited Chicago singer Phoelix to bless a few tracks with his vocals.

Equipped with seven songs, including “Freeze Tag,” the album is an expression of joy, fun and laughter without ego – just good friends coming together and bringing different ingredients to the table. Press play below and be sure to add Dinner Party wherever you consume music.
