Slug & Murs Reunite As Felt to Release New Album, ‘Felt 4 U’

blame it on Shake August 7, 2020

Well, color me shook. Felt just dropped a new album?! In 2020?!

Let’s rewind. Back in 2002, Slug (of Atmosphere) and Murs (of Living Legends) decided to join forces as Felt to release Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci. Produced by fellow LL member Grouch, the album would become the first of a trilogy of albums between the two–including Felt 2: A Tribute to Lisa Bonet (which was produced by Ant) and Felt 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez (which relayed the production duties to Aesop Rock).

Earlier this week, Slug and Murs took to their respective social accounts to share a song called “Name In Ya Mouth.” Along with the song came the caption, “brand new F-E-L-T-4-U,” which led fans to believe the duo might actually be dropping another album. And sure enough, a few days later, they freakin’ did it! Felt 4 U, a new album, produced by Ant. Incredible.

As a fan, I don’t have much else to say. I’m just gonna let this post fly and press play. Oh yeah, vinyl and merch is available here.
