Weekly Dope: The LOX, Saigon, Big Sean, Nipsey Hussle & More

blame it on Shake August 31, 2020

With another seven days in the books, we’re catching you up on the best new music with the 214th installment of our Weekly Dope playlist.

On the artwork, I ran with a mix of The LOX for dropping their new album Living Off Xperience, Saigon for returning with 777: The Resurrection, Big Sean for blessing us with an unreleased Nipsey Hussle verse (and smoking his own) on “Deep Reverence,” Black Thought for grabbing Pusha T, Killer Mike and Swizz Beatz for “Good Morning,” Cordae and Roddy Ricch for showing how the new generation gets down on “Gifted,” Conway the Machine for striking the “Fear of God” in the opps over a Hit-Boy beat, Stik Figa and Conductor Williams for reconnecting on Tomorrow is Forgotten, and our guy Mez for doing his thing on “Loading…”

On top of that, there’s also new music from Public Enemy (who remixed “Fight the Power” with Nas, Black Thought, YG, and others, MC Eiht (with Conway and DJ Premier), Problem (with Jay Rock and Jack Harlow), KXNG Crooked, Locksmith, Jazmine Sullivan, Toni Braxton, Thundercat, Leikeli47, Calvin Harris (with The Weeknd), King Von, Sango, and more.

Updated every Monday morning, the playlist can be heard below and is available on Apple MusicSpotify, and TIDAL. Check it out below.
