FlyGod meets Supreme Blientele.

As if Westside Gunn hasn’t already done enough this year, the frontman of the almighty Griselda crew is still on the stove cooking up some work.

With Pray For Paris still in rotation from April and FlyGod Is An Awesome God 2 doing its part in keeping the movement moving (and shedding a much deserved light on Stove God Cooks), Gunn is now ready to release his Shady Records debut, Who Made the Sunshine, on August 28th October 2nd.

“Everything I’ve done thus far has led up to this moment,” Gunn said on IG while posting the artwork (by his daughter, WS Pootie). “When I said FlyGod was a classic people didn’t see it at that moment. Then I dropped Supreme Blientele and made people start believing. Then I dropped Pray For Paris and I knew I had my formula together and was ready for my first major release album. And now, it’s officially here: WHO MADE THE SUNSHINE.”

“Every project has been painted different and with purpose,” he continued. “I know I’ll be done rapping soon, but I have to give you WSG on a different level. This project, I swear is my best work to date and I know it’s great because it took me a week to make and not two days lol. This is what Hip Hop is ALL about. I feel young on this album. I promise you never heard anything like this on Shady Records. This ALL BUFFALO. This can’t be compared to anything I’ve done before–it’s if FlyGod and Supreme Blientele had a baby.”

UPDATE (9/29): Due to the tragic passing of DJ Shay, Westside Gunn delayed the release of his Shady Records debut. But now, it’s dropping this week!

Taking to his socials, Gunn just revealed the official tracklist which checks in at 11 songs with features from Slick Rick (!!), Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, Stove God Cooks, Black Thought, Flee Lord, ElCamino, Smoke DZA, Estee Nack, and of course Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine and Armani Caesar.

On the production side of things, we’ll be blessed with beats by Alchemist, Daringer, Just Blaze, Beat Butcha, and Conductor Williams.

Check out the details below and while you wait, be sure to run back Benny and BSF’s The Respected Sopranos, Conway’s From King to a God and Armani Caesar’s The Liz.
