Dinner Party — the super-group collective of Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, 9th Wonder and Kamasi Washington — dropped two projects over the past few months, Dinner Party and Dessert. The production troupe now return with a video for “Freeze Tag,” which features Cordae, Phoelix and Snoop Dogg.
Directed by Elliott Sellers and Dinner Party, the all-Los Angeles-everything video explores a painfully familiar narrative for a sect of peoples: even when we’re just simply existing and celebrating life, the Black community is constantly and unjustly under the surveillance of authorities, ultimately leading to the horrifying news that is heard daily.
