Alchemist Celebrates Birthday With ‘The Food Villain’ Album

blame it on Meka November 4, 2020

I said it earlier before, and I’ll say it again: Alchemist and Hit-Boy are neck-and-neck for the unofficial title of “best hip hop producer of 2020.”

With Hit-Boy basically working on everybody’s albums, from Nas to Big Sean to Benny The Butcher to Dom Kennedy to Freddie Gibbs, Al has kept things terrifically gutter with Conway The Machine, Boldy James, Westside Gunn, Jay Electronica, Eminem, Action Bronson and (also) Freddie Gibbs. Now, after dropping A Doctor, A Painter & An Alchemist Walk Into A Bar, Alchemist drops off his second solo project within a month, The Food Villain.

Released to celebrate his 43rd birthday, The Food Villain is mostly comprised of beats blended in with various quips from Bronson’s F**k, That’s Delicious show. Both Bam Bam and Big Body Bes make brief appearances on the project, too.

Stream it in its entirety, below. The project is also available in physical format, too.
