Jeezy Announces ‘The Recession 2’ Album, Release Date

blame it on Meka November 10, 2020

On November 19 Jeezy will take on T.I. in the latest installment of the VERZUZ series. Ignoring all of the kerfuffles surrounding this particular friendly battle, the former will take full advantage of the event to release his next project.

Roughly a year after TM104: The Legend of the Snowman, and a few months after his collaborative EP with producer Shawty Redd Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision, Jeezy will drop The Recession 2 following VERZUZ on November 20. The sequel to his 2008 album of the same name, is currently led by the Yo Gotti-guested single “Back.”

But wait! There’s more!

Jeezy has also partnered with Charlamagne Tha GOD and iHeartMedia’s The Black Effect Podcast Network for a podcast mini-series, “The (Re)Session Podcast.” Episodes of the podcast will “take their cues from song titles with subjects such as mental health, economics, prison reform, police brutality, grief, systemic racism, community, and spirituality.” The first episode of the podcast is out now.
