Near the end of 2020, Small Bills — the duo of Lessondary/Armand Hammer member Elucid and producer The Lasso — released their album Don’t Play It Straight. The pair have now released a video, for “Banneker’s Almanac.”
“’Banneker’s Almanac’ is an apocalyptic free song produced by The Lasso who was inspired by Herbie Hancock’s ‘Rain Dance,'” the pair said in a statement. “The futuristic shamanic channeling of energy on the track breaks the boundaries that separate generations and revels in a timeless state. Elucid lyrically dances through snapshots of ancestral battles occurring in the here and now of his existence.”
