I really hope 2021 is the year Nao makes her return.
The British singer has soothed our ears over the past five years through elegant songs that have landed on her For All We Know and Saturn projects. Now that we’ve fully entered the new year, it appears that Nao is prepared to release a new project as she shares a new single from it.
Linking with Nigerian afro-fusion singer Adekunle Gold, the two unleash their summer single, “Antidote.” The track celebrates their partner as the remedy to all of life’s pains. It also comes with an equally warm video that elevates the experience the track brings.
Nao spoke about the track in an Instagram post saying, “We wrote ‘Antidote’ as a musical remedy 4 U during these times and as an ode to our daughters, who were both born weeks apart from each other during the pandemic..” She added, “They filled us with love. They were our Antidote to all that was happening in the world. This song is a summer remedy for your winter days.”
