For the first time in over five years, Jazmine Sullivan dropped a project for her adoring fanbase to indulge in. Heaux Tales arrived in the form of 11 tracks with help from Ari Lennox, H.E.R., and Anderson .Paak. As if that wasn’t enough, the Philly native also blessed us with an NPR Tiny Desk set.
Across her set, Sullivan offers a soothing performance of “Bodies (Intro),” “The Other Side,” “Lost One,” “Let It Burn,” and “Girl Like Me“. If this isn’t a great way to start your Friday, I don’t know what is then.
