Now, this is a name we’ve not seen in years.
Finally, and six years after their 2015 project Choose Your Weapon, Hiatus Kaiyote will return with their new album Mood Valiant on June 25.
“When you think your life is going to be taken away from you, it makes you think about who you are,” band frontwoman Nai Palm said in a press release. “I guess after the breast cancer scare [Ed note: she was diagnosed with the disease in 2018] I decided that I needed to prove to life that the offering I have is genuine. My only wish is to live and offer my experience of time and beauty.”
The group have also released the forthcoming project’s first single, “Get Sun,” with influential Brazilian composer Arthur Verocai providing an assist. Listen to it below.
