Shelley FKA DRAM Returns with Self Titled Album

blame it on Shake April 30, 2021

DRAM Shelley would like to (re)introduce himself.

After breaking out in 2015 with his hit single “Cha Cha” and following it up with his Big Baby DRAM debut, the gifted Virginia singer spent the next few years starring in a few major commercials, releasing various singles, touring, and just enjoying everything life had to offer. Then… the pandemic hit. Resurfacing in February of this year with a new look on life – and a “new” name, his government, Shelley – he’s now back with a full-length studio album.

“After the release of my debut album, Big Baby DRAM, I’ve worked on so many things, but most importantly I was working on me,” the artist formerly known as D.R.A.M says. “Ever since I was introduced to the world with ‘Cha Cha,’ my career has taken me on a journey enabling me to meet people like Rubin, Snoop, Queen Bey, and Queen Erykah Badu. I got to travel the globe, tour with Kendrick and I did Coachella. On top of all of that, simultaneously wrapped up in the fast life. I was moving with no breaks, because that’s how life was coming to me, so I took some time to focus on my health, voice and growth; focus on me. Now it’s time for everyone to meet me: Shelley.”

Equipped with 10 tracks, including “Exposure” and “The Lay Down” with H.E.R and WATT, the album also features Summer Walker (“All Pride Aside“) and the lovely Erykah Badu.
