Well, damn.
Since splitting from Fifth Harmony, many people have been waiting on Normani to truly pop out on her own. Save for “Motivation,” the songstress has spent the past few years collaborating with the likes of 21 Savage, Megan Thee Stallion, and Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. And, of course, she made a notable appearance in Cardi B and Megan’s video for “WAP.”
Normani has now returned, with Cardi, for her first single in two years, “Wild Side” (which features a sample of the late Aaliyah’s “One In A Million”). Directed by Tanu Muino, an extremely sultry matching video has also been released. “I had already been in rehearsal for about three weeks preparing for the video when Cardi heard the record for the first time,” Normani said about the track. “She really showed up for me and brought this record to life by simply doing what Cardi does best. I love that woman down and I’m forever grateful.”
