Westside Gunn Formally Announces ‘HWH 8’ Album, Release Date

blame it on Meka August 5, 2021

For seven consecutive Halloweens, Westside Gunn treated fans to his Hitler Wears Hermes series. Following the seventh installment in 2019, however. FLYGOD would skip it in 2020 as he would release his major label debut Who Made The Sunshine earlier in October.

Since then, Gunn and Griselda Records would release their first film, Conflicted (it’s currently on Amazon Prime, for those interested), as well as an accompanying soundtrack, while Gunn would reunite with Mach-Hommy and executive produce his Pray For Haiti project. Now he’s delivered good news for those waiting on HWH 8.

Dubbed Sincerely Adolf, Gunn has announced that the final installment of the series will arrive on August 20. Led by the singles “TV Boy” and “Julia Lang,” Gunn has also revealed that the project will be an ambitious double album (normally, Griselda projects run less than an hour, and in some cases barely 40 minutes). While he has yet to reveal the tracklist or features (one can expect that the rest of the Griselda crew — Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, Armani Caesar, Boldy James, Daringer, and Beat Butcha — to make contributions), Gunn has revealed what may be the album’s artwork:

Needless to say, the DopeHouse is here for all of this.
