Like Aaliyah (and Tank… and Toni Braxton… and even JoJo), the discographies of Timbaland & Magoo have essentially been stuck in limbo for years. And, like Aaliyah (and, eventually, Tank, Toni Braxton, and Jojo), their albums have finally been freed from that proverbial Negative Zone.
Four of their projects — 1997’s Welcome To Our World, 1998’s Tim’s Bio: Life From Da Bassment, 2001’s Indecent Proposal, and 2003’s Under Construction, Part II — have been released to the DSPs for their very first times. The albums were sources for numerous hits — “Luv 2 Luv U (Remix),” “Clock Strikes (Remix),” “Up Jumps da Boogie,” “Lobster & Shrimp,” “Drop,” “Cop That Sh*t,” “and “Indian Flute,” among others — and featured virtually everybody: Missy Elliott, Aaliyah, Nas, Jay-Z, Skillz, Playa, Twista, Ginuwine, Tweet, Petey Pablo, Static Major, Brandy, Ludacris, Beenie Man, and many more.
