J. Cole Drops “Heaven’s EP” Video

blame it on Meka September 21, 2021

It’s a rarity for J. Cole to release loose tracks these days (his last one, “Snow On The Bluff” in 2020, received a… mixed reaction, to say the least). However, he decides to surprise fans with another, “Heaven’s EP.”

The track actually snatches the instrumental from Drake‘s Certified Lover Boy track, “Pipe Down.” Cole shared a visual for the track, which follows him during his travels to and in Las Vegas. It’s safe to say that this track will be much, much better received than its predecessor, as J. Cole opens up about his personal concerns about both his music and his legacy (“Some people say that I’m running third, they threw the bronze at me/Behind Drake and Dot, yeah, them n****s is superstars to me”), his private life (“I be keepin’ my kids away from the gaze of the public/’Cause these days, it feel like hate is they favorite subject”), and more.
