When it comes to collaborative albums, Apollo Brown is easily one of my favorite producers to provide a soundscape for an individual artist. Most recently dropping projects with Joell Ortiz, Locksmith, Che Noir, andRaheem DeVaughn, the Detroit native is at it again, teaming up with Ohio’s very own Stalley on on their new album, Blacklight.
“When you shine a blacklight, you tend to illuminate things that you can’t see with the naked eye,” Apollo Brown says. “This metaphor speaks for you, others, and the world in general. Stalley effortlessly shines that UV all throughout the album.”
A 14-track affair, the album comes equipped with features from Skyzoo, Joell Ortiz (who just released an album of his own called Autograph), and Omari Hardwick – better known as Ghost from Power.
