NEZ originally made his name as part of the production duo NEZ & Rio, the pair behind slappers from A$AP Rocky (“Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2“) and ScHoolboy Q (“Man Of The Year“). Having transitioned into an artist in his own right (if 2020 didn’t become… 2020, “Wild Youngster” would have definitely been in the running for that year’s song of the summer), he has teamed with Circoloco — the record label of Rockstar Games to release his latest EP, CLR 002.
The follow-up to 2021’s Midnight Music, the three-song EP boasts features from ScHoolboy Q, Gangsta Boo, and Moodymann. The project shifts between a few genres, from Chicago house to trap to lo-fi, so there may be something for everyone on it.
