The Los Angeles-bred musician — author of an album in 2019 called I Think I Have To BreakUp With My Girlfriend (awesome title, by the way) — released the single “Hunting Season.” The song, which has him opining about finding (temporary) love in this club like Usher because he’s unable to commit to anything or anybody, is only amplified by its matching visuals where he is literally “shooting his shot” at a bar.
It’s quirky, it’s catchy, and it might be this former quasi-writer’s favorite new song of Black History Month 2023.
