Dave East Drops Sophomore Album, ‘Fortune Favors The Bold’

Dave East is back with his second album.

Although he drops projects on a rather consistent basis, its been four years since Dave East released his major label debut, Survival. Now, the East Harlem emcee is officially back with his sophomore effort, Fortune Favors the Bold, via Def Jam and Mass Appeal.

“This is me and my grandma in like ’91,” Dave East says, referring to the back cover of the album (below). “This da first body of work I’ve dropped since she passed. I actually recorded this sh*t in Pablo Escobar crib! Life is ill like that. I’m really 1 of 1! They don’t make em like me no more, I promise. I never felt like I was better than anybody, but I always knew I was different. Way different. Still can’t believe who not here to see my growth, but we gon’ keep it rollin.”

Locked in at 24 tracks, the album comes equipped with features and production from Ghostface Killah, RZA, Jadakiss, Cordae, Ty Dolla $ign, Mike WiLL Made It, DJ Khalil, Budda & Grandz, Don Cannon, Mike & Keys, AraabMuzik, 1500 Or Nothin, Cool & Dre, and more.
