It’s been two years since Russ dropped an album (2021’s Chomp 2), but the multi-talented artist is officially back with his latest release, SANTIAGO.

Santiago is my journey to self love and self mastery while touching on the obstacles that have provided resistance along the way,” Russ says. “Feelings of emptiness, inadeuancy, imposter syndrome, doubt, anger, sadness, shame (to name a few) and ultimately issues from my childhood that have shown up in my adult life. It’s my attempt to understand, navigate and heal.”

“It’s the most vulnerable, honestest music I’ve ever mad and I had to do a lot of excavating to make it, he adds. “I hope that by listening to me face my own emotions, you all gan the courage to face your own. It was a confronting experience (that mirror can be brutal) and I hope it resonates with people who are trying to navigate the obstacles on their own journey because as Paulo Coelho said, ‘one man’s journey is every man’s journey.’”

Equipped with 13 songs, with a few vocal contributions from Bibi Bourelly and Melanie Faye, the album also finds Russ offering the bulk of the production duties to outside help – from aspiring producers like Lucas Quinn, Marow, Carat, Broke Boi, Chris LaRocca, UNKWN, Tyler James, and more.
