I’ve had this album on repeat for the past few weeks (sometimes there are benefits to working in the music industry), and this is definitely up there on my “favorite projects of 2023” list.
Elzhi and Oh No have joined forces to drop their collaborative album, Heavy Vibrato. “Oh No is a scientist when it comes to manipulating sound,” says Elzhi. “[This is] a perfect balance between effortless and technical.” Oh No adds, “Elzhi is straight up amazing. From crafting wordplay, to concepts and flows, to storytelling, he’s on another level.”
A 12-song effort the album is led by the focus track “Fireballs” (which now has an animated short), while the likes of Blu, Guilty Simpson, and Dank (of Frank-N-Dank) are among the guest features. Stream Heavy Vibrato below.
