Kendrick Lamar Drops Fourth Drake Diss, “Not Like Us”

blame it on Meka May 4, 2024

Kung Fu Kenny is not letting up.

So, to wit: Kendrick Lamar responded to Drake‘s “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made” with “euphoria” and “6:16 in LA.” Then, almost immediately following Drake’s “Family Matters” retort with “meet the grahams,” Kenny is back at it again with “Not Like Us.”

A 180 from the rather dark sonics of their predecessors, “Not Like Us” — produced by Mustard — is an uptempo number where he addresses Drake’s penchant for dating younger women, shares some words for Baka Not Nice and PARTYNEXTDOOR, and promises to go “further down the rabbit hole” if pushed even more. Even the cover art is very telling, an overhead shot of Drake’s Toronto home (most memorably revealed in his “Toosie Slide” video) with several Sex Offender Registry tags adorning its roof.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, Dot then proceeds to respond to Drake’s “always rappin’ like you ’bout to get the slaves freed” bar with a proper run down of the boy’s history with Atlanta…

Once upon a time, all of us was in chains
Homie still double down callin’ us some slaves
Atlanta was the meca, building railroads and trains
Bare with me for a second, let me put y’all on game
The settlers were using town folks to make em richer/
Fast forward, 2024 you got the same agenda
You run to Atlanta when you need a check balance
Let me break it down for you, this the real n*** challenge
You called Future when you didn’t see the club
Lil Baby help you get your lingo up
21 gave you false street cred
Thug made you feel like you a slime in your head
Quavo said you can be from northside
2 Chainz said you good, but he lied
You run to Atlanta when you need a few dollars
You not a colleague, you a fuckin’ colonizer

Yikes.
