This past Friday I was invited to T.I.’s private listening session in Miami where the ‘kang’ himself played more than half of the tracks on the album, excluding a few we’ve already had in our iTunes. I’d like to go on the record to say that from what I heard, fans will be satisfied with this body of work. I even recall him stating during the session that if he wanted to put out an album 6 months ago he could have, but he wanted to take his time with this to prove all the critics wrong who felt he was falling off – and he might’ve done just that. As the listening came to a close, I got the chance to sit down with T.I. for a chat where he speaks on the expectations he had for himself on this album, the choice for the cover art, the possibility of him doing an album fully produced by DJ Toomp and more. – Ashley
