If you ever watched Entourage, you probably watched the first season of Ballers through the same scope I did — “I’ve seen this before, only this time there’s sports.”

Now while I’d take sports over Hollywood 10 times out of 10, Ballers has something Entourage never did that helps set them a bit further apart: The Rock. Between Dwayne Johnson’s massive big screen run, he spent his downtime filming Ballers where he attended college — Miami. And while the first season wavered in its attempts to create drama in a setting full of women, partying and two-a-days, The Rock’s character — a football-player-turned-financial-manager — along with his relationships with Ricky Jerret (played by Denzel Washington’s son, John David) and Joe Krutel (Rob Corddry), made the show at the very least watchable over the first 10 episodes.

The second season is set to return July 17, and while we’ve gotten sneak peaks over the last handful of months in clips before shows like Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley, the new season now has a trailer delving a bit further into the new plot, which has The Rock & Corddry bumping heads with a competing financial manager.
