After hunkering down in an undisclosed “Bunker” earlier this year, Harlem emcee Kyle Rapps peeps back his tinfoil hat and settles into electro-rap territory with his latest sound, “Michigan.”
Recorded live from somewhere in Mexico City, Kyle’s latest is auditory painted portrait of his fervorous desire over a woman, while trying to keep the creep factor turned down as little as possible. It’s a very different sound from what we’re used to hearing from the New York rapper, but it works well because of untouched integrity and “artistic vision.”
