Mike Astrea and Rapper Shane of Charolette, NC duo Deep 6 Division are on the road to releasing their self-titled debut album, due out this Friday (Dec. 16th).
On the heels of releasing their hypnotic video for “Frequencies” featuring Carly Astrea, the duo return to put a certain type of folk in their place.
You know the type, loud as a motorbike. For their new clip, “Money Mouth,” Mike and Shane urge this demographic to stop the yapping and show and prove. Says Rapper Shane, “Too many people running their mouths, put some money on it.”
To get their point across, the two North Carolinians enlisted their friends Robert Childers and Corey Ziegler who incorporated live action shots with stop-motion techniques, inserting a “super southern folk art vibe to them.” The result is “Money Mouth” which you can check out up top.
