With his second release of February, House of Blues, out Feb. 27th, Boldy James offers up another stone-cold offering, “Maserati Rick.”
The song is partially inspired by the tale of Detroit’s “Maserati” Rick Carter, who ran the drug trade on the Eastside of Detroit — along with his friend, Demetrius Holloway — for years until he was gunned down in his own hospital bed by a shooter disguised as a doctor in 1988.
That’s nuts.
