Blu sits down with Jesse Thorn for The Sound of Young America. If ever you were wondering about the life of one of the most talented emcees doing it right now, this is definitely something you shouldn’t pass up. From the beginning of his days as a battle MC in Los Angeles, to growing up in his house hold bumping DMX, not flipping out crazy to Common’s I Used to Love H.E.R. and more. The realness he protrays is dope. He doesn’t need to be one of those kids that go and say Yo, I’ve been bumpin nothing but classics since I knew what hip hop was, I never listened to that Ma$e shit. That Timbaland & Magoo shit. Shut the fuck up. I never understood why some people are so afraid to admit they listened to some stuff when they were young. Like saying you only listened to Eric B & Rakim, KRS-One, etc makes you cooler?
