eminem call of duty mmlp2

As if you weren't aware already, Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2 was officially released today. A few days ago we got a 90-second preview of Em's take on Black Moon's classic "I Got Cha Opin." Now, the full version -- which serves as an exclusive bonus track on the MMLP2/Call of Duty: Ghosts bundle pack -- is available. Buckshot chorus and all. Shouts to Miss Info.

    wow....im convinced easily best rapper

  • Mike Tomlin

No other rapper could have made MMLP2. Im not saying it was the best album of all time or even the last few years, but no artist could duplicate it. None.

This will fit nicely as track #22.

  • The Dude

Should release an album of new verses on classic beats. His take on classic tracks.

  • The Dude

    Track is DOPE!!

Damn. Yeah I'd rather pay for a whole album of Em spitting over older beats. For whatever reason, to me, he doesn't mesh well with newer beats unless they're Dre's.

  • rpj

man this just pisses me off. he could be rapping over beats like this but instead we only hear him on shit that sounds like it was made for katy perry.

  • Frost

    shit's serious...

    Songs dope. Albums dope

  • roc-city

I am not always a fan of Em's production or the way he chooses to rap, but lyrically the dude is just mind blowing. Pen to paper he belongs in the hall of fame, and like Game has said, "you don't mess with the white-boy."

Dope. But the chorus isn't a feature. It's a sample.

  • AK

A chorus becomes a feature in the abscence of the artist for sample clearances

  • AK

If you let their chorus play and don't alter it in any way, they have to get credit

  • JJ

First off, MMLP2 sucks hard. Secondly, the only thing good about this song is the beat and chorus. Straight bullshit that there is no Buckshot verse on here.

  • Stique

JJ I'm sure Buckshot is humbled by this remake! Crushed it!

  • DuckDown

“The way it was done is the way it was meant to be done because that record [the original version of ‘I Got Cha Opin’] put me in that zone,” Buckshot says. “That’s a war cry record, as opposed to it being a feature-type thing. It’s more like, ‘I’m going back to simply honor a person like Buckshot, than have him come do a verse and me do a verse.’ He put himself in the spirit of ‘I Got Cha Opin’ on ‘Don’t Front’ the same way the spirits put me physically in that position the first time.”

I could totally, totally see why now. What he did to that record, it took me 10 minutes probably to pick my mouth up. I was so in shock for a minute. I was like, ‘What the hell?’”

Buckshot said that he was given less than a day’s notice last month that Eminem would be remaking Black Moon’s “I Got Cha Opin” and that he would be flying to Detroit from New York in order to attend the recording session.

Too real. Wish he did a real hip hop album... I'll always ride w/ Em, he's a top 5 rapper regardless of what anyone says. Easily.
